Transitioning from a traditional Magento setup to a headless architecture.
Maintaining seamless communication between the VueJS frontend and Magento backend.
Integrating third-party tools like Nchannel for multi-channel operations and Klaviyo for email marketing automation without disrupting the site’s performance.
To achieve the desired performance improvements, we implemented a headless CMS approach using VueJS. This decision was based on VueJS’s ability to create highly responsive and modern user interfaces, while separating the frontend from the backend offered greater flexibility in development and future scalability.
Key aspects of the headless implementation:
By decoupling the frontend from the backend, we empowered the client with greater control over their website’s appearance and functionality, while ensuring that Magento continued to handle the business-critical operations on the backend.
Power BI can connect to a wide range of data sources, including databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle), cloud services (e.g., Azure, Salesforce), spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and web data sources (e.g., Google Analytics). It also supports custom data connectors, allowing users to integrate data from almost any source to create comprehensive, unified reports.
Two key integrations were vital for the client’s operations:
Initially, we integrated Nchannel to streamline the client’s multi-channel retail operations. It allows the client to manage their sales and inventory across different marketplaces efficiently. The integration enabled real-time synchronization between their online store, warehouses, and sales channels, ensuring that the customer experience remained consistent across platforms.
Secondly, for marketing automation, we integrated Klaviyo, that enables the client to deliver personalized email campaigns and follow-ups based on user behavior. It helped improve customer engagement and retention, while reducing cart abandonment through targeted reminders.
Both integrations were carefully set up to work seamlessly within the headless environment, that ensured no performance bottlenecks were introduced.
Traditional Magento setups are often slower, especially as the site grows in complexity. With VueJS, we were able to:
These performance enhancements were essential for the client’s long-term growth, allowing them to serve a growing customer base without compromising on speed or user experience.
While the frontend improvements were significant, the backend also saw improvements in efficiency:
Vendula London, a vibrant e-commerce brand celebrated for its whimsical accessories, aimed to improve its operational skills and expand its worldwide reach. The objective was to set up a strong multi-website shape on Magento 2, allowing the brand to control diverse local sites while ensuring a consistent user experience.
Vendula London has developed a robust eCommerce platform where a Magento 2 installation can easily manage multiple regional websites in languages including English, German, Italian, Spanish, French, and more. This collaboration was essential to deliver a consistent brand experience across all markets.
To make this a reality, Magento 2 was implemented in multi-website mode. This, in turn, allowed Vendula London to have a site operate and manage all regional sites independently yet share the same centralized backend. In doing this, administrative processes were simply streamlined for updating and management. We also leveraged Magento’s native functionality to allow Vendula London to easily adapt and scale with their international growth.

We were interested only in this very simple design, yet it was still so clean and friendly, perfectly characterizing the spirit of the brand Vendula London. Websites were optimized for international guests and became more navigable. They also make shopping a sheer pleasure from those sites. Intuitive layouts and engaging visuals resonate with customers across diverse regions and are placed within every site so that every single site is familiar yet uniquely tailored to its audience.
The joint application of Odoo, Nosto, and Klaviyo greatly enhanced the operational efficiency. Real-time inventory management, along with the streamlined order process, diminished all the error counts and fulfillment time for Vendula London. Efficiency meant that the team could concentrate on what mattered most-that is, growing the business and delighting customers.
INCREASED PARTICIPATION Nosto-powered personalized recommendations across targeted marketing campaigns through Klaviyo changed how customer interaction and touchpoints were approached. As Vendula London navigates the dynamic landscape of e-commerce, this robust platform ensures they remain competitive and poised for success.
The technical environment was quite challenging in the Vendula London e-commerce project, because Magento 2 needed to be integrated with several advanced systems. Each integration was crucial to enabling the general objective of improving the efficiency of operations and providing the best possible experience for the customers. Here are the key integration components, as well as the complexities:
An essential integration process was the comprehensive ERP system, Odoo, used to streamline the inventory and order management processes. The integration was complicated due to several factors:
Ensuring real-time synchronization between Magento and Odoo was crucial for maintaining accurate inventory levels and order statuses across platforms. This required the development of robust APIs to facilitate seamless data flow. While managing stocks in different regional websites with unique stock levels and order processes for the same is required by Odoo, these variations add complexity to the integration and require layers of support with consistency and accuracy for handling those variations.
A comprehensive understanding of both systems was required to train the staff on how to use Odoo along with Magento, which became a logistical challenge in the rollout process.
